Movie choices...

I so rarely manage to get to the movies, I usually catch up when I have to fly somewhere of distance.

The problem (?) with the AVOD systems is there is now so much choice.

I have 14hrs SYD-JNB next month and have a list of some of the movies I wouldn't mind watching, but would like peoples reviews to help narrow the selection down;

1. Benjamin Button
2. Frost/Nixon
3. Gran Turino (this is a def)
4. Jindabyne
5. Juno
6. Last Chance Harvey
7. Marley and Me (read the book, in tears at Frankfurt airport last year)
8. Mary and Max
9. Milk
10. Two Lovers

Some of these may still be on the system in July on the return and I may have some of them again in July on the way to Istanbul.

I have been trying to watch "Gran Torino" on a DVD for 2 weeks and have yet to see it due to scheduling conflicts. I am told that "Slum Dog Millionaire" is the MUST SEE flick of the moment.

Benjamin Button,' definitely. 'The Reader' should be added to the list, excellent film.
Gran Turino is OK.

I've only seen two on your list. Last Chance Harvey is OK, Juno is terrific -- quirky and clever.

If you want probably the best movie made in India, it has to be City of Joy with Patrick Swayzee. A joy to behold. Have a good flight, I just did EWR to HKG and it was 17 hours due to flight delays over Russia and China. At least we were up front!
