Very nice, clean, sleepy city, mosaics are interesting, but it pales in comparison to Rome.
I agree. I was working down across from the street from the train station.

Very nice city but not much else going for it. The mosaics were breathtaking.

I really enjoyed my stay in Rome a few years back. Everyone told me you have to see it once, but I would go back. Going to Florence in two weeks. Can Italy tolerate another Texan driving around? Italy has really improved in the last decade.

Wauuuu,
Very familiar images.
In the '80s I spent some time on those stairs and by those fountains.
Beautiful memories.

I've seen Rome many times, and I wish to see it again - already.

As of driving in Italy...Guess I am a pussy, never had the guts to drive in Rome. Florence is better, Naples is worse. In general italian driving style makes me sick. I suggest being extra careful, watch out for those bikers which seem to have "I wish to die now" engraved on top of their helmets.
