Gladly. In your vast experience, what industry do you see as filling the needs for generating the millions of jobs required to rebuild this economy? We have 196Million potential workers according to BLS and we have just over 152Million taxpayers at this point [and that number is dropping monthly].
What industry can generate the demand for workers to start filling jobs to bring folks back to work in the quantities that they have been laid off or offshored for the past couple of years.
We can't simply get in the loop of asking each other if we want fries with that.
Think out of the box Bear.
There are plenty of occupations out there which can generate millions of jobs.
Small scale farming and raising of livestock is one, this will also address the carbon warming (tic) problem by reducing our energy footprint. Trading , anyone can be a stock , energy, currency trader, heck , there can be found right here on this board, there's your million jobs right there. We can guarantee profits with the right legislation and rules, we are doing it now. You want jobs, hell yes, we can generate jobs, 72K census jobs were created out of thin air in one month. Why don't we have a census taken every year ? That should create another million jobs right there.
... I am sure you can think of many more...Remember, out of the box.
I like my farming idea in particular since hunger is an excellent motivator; 50M farmers should do the trick. The rest can work at McD.
FULL EMPLOYMENT , piece of cake.
