ahem....back to the orginal thread; I do have to agree with you that cats and dogs are sensative to our/your emotions. As a child any time I was punished, any cats or dogs we had in the house would come to my room and sit with me until I stopped crying. It certainly did cheer me up. Our dog is very sensative to our moods and will lay with us if we are sick or upset.

I love cats. Especially in a tasty gravy.

A local nursing home has several cats that wander the halls. Very social animals and the residents love them. One cat has a habit of hanging close when someone is close to death. It was consistent and strange.

I would have to agree. They just can see our feelings better than we can and for the most part they have no hatred! When a caring person sees one in pain they show support just like a caring(well domesticated) animal as a cat or dog. Besides them being very smart animals, they have no reason to fight or get mad cause we feed them so they just love.

Dogs and cats are partly scavengers and that would axplain how the one cat knows who will die next. Like voltures circleing in the desert.

Most of the time they just know you. They are habitual animals that react simular to reoccuring situations. When you put on your walk the dog shoe they know whats good. When your sad to them you appear to be simular to the last time you were sad, and they probably remember the worse time, which is the most effective in stimulating their affectionate side.

I think people confuse things like empaths. and special powers with things like extraordinary skills and uncharted abilities that might not exceed mormal capabilities but appear to, via situational outcome like an apparent mind read by a cat or levatation by a bird...... Some of us are just more evolved and ahead of the game. I feel like a genius in the mist of dee da dees on the road.......get my point?

I am just analyzing....this is really a thread for the dog whisperer forum!

Sitting in a leaky tent in the middle of Grafenwoehr, for a training exercise for a month. I saw all four seasons in one day out there, I am very pleased to be home lol.

I too think that cats have a lot of personality. As much as I love my dog, I am a sucker for the littlest cat in house. She came to our house via the street and I fell in love with her while trying to find her owner. She has been with us now for four years.
She loves to go play in the yard so her cue that she wants to get out is to jump on my shoulder and stay there until I take her out; she is very persistent. She also loves going to the potty with me
