Companies set their new prices back last July when Oil/Gas went so high. we are now feeling the effects of that.
I got a delivery bill for something a couple of months ago, when gas was at its cheapest in months and it had a $50 "fuel surcharge" adder. I sent the check for the delivery [less $50], along with the appropriate tax form where they deduct their fuel charges and a copy of the latest fuel costs in relation to last July's costs when they started the surcharge.
It seems the charge was dropped off the invoice and the balance is zero.
Being smart is knowing the difference, in a sticky situation between a well delivered anecdote and a well delivered antidote - bear.
