Those numbers make sense to me, but I'm interested in how long us geezers have been listening to Limbaugh. For me it's about 20 years. Hopefully, anyone in the retirement age group, regardless of party affiliation, will storke out in about the same time frame--or were you suggesting otherwise?

I would agree with you. All you guys came up under the same umbrella, starting to grow big when Clinton came into office and Rush had a foil. He has catered to the very same folks for two decades.
That is to HIS benefit and to the determent of the Republican Party. He trained a core group to follow NeoCon logic then, when it started unwinding and imploding he started "rebranding", much like the Party itself. Now he is doing pretty much what he can to destroy the Republican Party [1) throwing McCain under the bus, 2) telling McCain to leave with Specter, 3) poopooing Bush3/Romney and pumping up "the most prominent and articulate" Sarah! 4) dissing Jindal in the process]
Rush used to be a funny guy (feminazis, hahaha), then the idiot righties starting taking his gags seriously, then Rush started taking himself seriously. Oh well.....

I agree. There was a point, and I can't recall when it was [I think around 1998] that a switch occurred. Or maybe it was the 2000 election that did it. I know it certainly galvanized everybody on both sides AFTER the 2008 election - which was somewhat of a surprise.
I've never been a talk radio fan and used to frequent a garage -- many years ago, late 80s IIRC -- which had Rush on. He was at times funny, at times controversial, and almost always a blowhard. Listening to him suggested why I didn't listen to talk radio (which most of the time should be called dictator radio, at least from the little exposure I've had).

"The best engine in the world is the vagina. It can be started with one finger. It is self-lubricating. It takes any size piston. And it changes its own oil every four weeks. It is only a pity that the management system is so damn temperamental."
