Qubes Holds Court

Rather than running around from thread to thread as I've been doing, tonight I'll allow you to pose questions of me or solicit my opinions directly, and I shall render them in a pithy and honest fashion excepting of course that I cannot for some reason.

(The sooner I get to 14k, the faster this will end, by the way.)

@420 Do you want the scientific bent, or shall I cite it as yet another reason God couldn't exist?

It's aboriginal origins are interesting, if not overly simplistic. Duck gets humped by a "lonely and persuasive" water rat? I'd love to have met that rat, he could have taught me a few things I'm sure.

Anyway, the utter uselessness of the platypus as well as it's obvious similarities to other animals make it a damning case against intelligent design. Simultaneously, it's utter uselessness and incredible uniqueness - from the standpoint of the manner in which its parts are assembled - make it a damning case against evolution.

In short, I think they should all be beaten to death for their pelts and used to keep Eskimos warm.
