I wonder how many thoroughbred racing horses are slaughtered in a year[ hell just in the States] for financial reasons?

I would say look it up, but that would require skills and an understanding of the subject matter.

So I guess you will just have to remain clueless.

You did say odds.

By the way, the anecdotal stories do not speak well of the practices. What kind of industry puts down its prime participants who were injured in the line of duty after having contributed so much ?
Don't tell me there is no $$$ to care for these animals in their old age.

Hasn't answer one of the questions but sure has taken the low road with the name calling.

You had your chance to be proved right but failed to act on that chance for some strange reason.

The only ones that are put down are those that cannot load bear on their legs after injury. In other words, they can't walk. Otherwise there is tons of money taking care of thousands of horses all over the country, some better than others.

They were all answered LAST YEAR when you started the same whining without a level of understanding of the sport or of the industry. Either you have a short memory or just like to repeat. So what is the point of answering them again?

And last year you didn't even know how much those horses weighed now that's some understanding right there.

...
To the owner of such a horse, I would say try harder. Surely, the 747 sheikh can afford it.
