I devolves into attacking the source of the info instead of the actual information.

I like how when you get faced with the facts of it you guys immediately start slamming where the information comes from instead of answering the questions at hand.

Never heard the term "consider the source", eh? Thinking like that is what got us involved in the Iraq war to begin with.

And show me where I claimed ownership. This is the problem with you guys on the liberal side. Good points are brought up that you can not argue with and you immediately go for spin. Spin about the source because you can't argue the info.,

Yes I agree consider the source. But you can't kill the messenger if the information is valid.

I guess that the new order of debate in here and indeed in the national politics is that if you can't argue the information smear the source and never mind the information.

Everyone has conveniently left out the fact that all the points are valid.

Funny how that turns into putting your head in the sand.

I don't think Cap and Trade will work... well, it will for those who stand to make billions of dollars in profit, like Good ol' Al.

And don't get me started on the Global Warming farce.

Do yourself a favor; corroborate the "points" by finding someone reputable who makes them, and you close down that vector from attack by others. The problem with the internet is you can find anyone to say anything...doesn't make it true, or valid. If the source is questionable, nothing they have to say is meritorious of further discussion.

So then why exactly are we talking about trying to control Man made Climate change/Warming when there is no proof that we are the cause?

I am merely doing the same thing that all those lovely people who are telling us we are killing ourselves are doing.

Beats the hell out of me.

Best I can come up with, the argument is "all these smart people can't be wrong" and "what's the worst that can happen by doing what they say".

Interestingly, if those same arguments are used to justify one's religious beliefs, that person would be crucified. (Pardon the pun)

Maybe that's why I loathe both religious nutjobs and global warming nutjobs.

Be careful now...McBear may revoke his "One who I respect card" from you. Actually having the chutzpa to compare Religious extremists and Global warming extremists.
