I really like the standardized plant design idea. It simplifies things and keeps costs down. SquareD/Groupe Schneider have much of that part done for the control aspect in France so that is transferable. There is, as said no reason to reinvent the wheel.
Again, the problem is waste. Just going back to the other thread with Sarin, VX and Mustard Gas, we can't get that addressed in 20 years, whether through Democratic or Republican administrations, everyone is NIMBY on this, and apparently EVERYONE has a big assed backyard.
France seems to use about 425 TWh of power from their 59 power plants. ED, do you have any idea how much capacity the US requires? The 604,514 MWh number does not seem to be proportional to the French 425 TWh number.
