Thank you SHANE for your help
No I found it. Actually I will paste the email I sent to an appraiser today. Luckily some one got back to me and I emailed them the painting.
This is the full story behind the painting.
Good Day. 6 years ago, I was walking around down town san diego in the gas
lamp and noticed a historic building being gutted out for remodeling. I
think the plaque on the building said built in 1840. Well as I looked around
in the building I noticed a painting posted high on the ceiling. The
painting was too high up for the average on looker to have noticed and was
not reachable with a regular latter. I walked in and asked the workers if
they wanted that painting, they said if I can reach it I can have it. Well I
got an extended latter and climbed up and pulled it down. I have had this
painting ever since. I have no idea who painted it, because there are
several signatures through out the painting. There is only one signature in
red, the others are in the colors used for the painting. The painting looks
to be something of a roman man or woman looking towards the floor per say. I
have no idea by whom it was done, nor when. I do know it is what I would
call hauntingly beautiful. Every single person that sees the painting can
not stop looking at it. Even till this day you get the feeling he/she is
steering at you and when seen in a mirror reflection, he/she almost looks as
if he/she has a different expression. I wanted some help on this. I would
like to see if I can sell the painting, but wanted to know its worth if it
even has value. Another thing about the painting is I have never in my
entire life seen a painting done in the way it was done. It looks to have
prominent paint groves, or what I would call embossed. The entire painting
has a 3D effect and is not a normal painting. I spent the past 5 years
trying to find out the history of this painting with no success. Last night
I took pictures of the painting with my camera phone and can email you the
painting for your help in the matter.
Ok I figured out how to post the picture. I know this is the second time I started this thread but I tell you this painting in person is very nice. The pix don't really explained the beauty behind it.
