Question Recovery.org

Recovery.org

Does anyone have an instruction manual for this site?

There are a lot of nice graphs with numbers but they don't explain if this is what's been spent or what's planned to be spent. There's estimated jobs by state but again, there's nothing to say if the info is to date or total.

It's not very informative but it could just be me.

If it's the Stimulus, then it's planned. If it's TARP then that's already considered a sunk cost with no accountability.

He deserves the best defense the public defenders office can afford......

Stimulus is for buying the Viagra.......

Tarp is for buying something to cover your huge excitement after you have had your dosage of Stimulus........

That's the kind of site for marketing a product.

The "transparency" claim is all hype without any substance.

I think part of the key is the word "beta" under the title. They are building this on the fly [wonder if they are using Stimulus monies?].

I use it for RFPs and project interests as one of my sources. This particular site is not particularly user friendly at this point because they don't have much data input yet [with the package only signed in February, little has actually worked through bureaucracy and into any monthly/quarterly reporting structure and then dumped. It will improve as projects begin monthly and quarterly spending reports and also as budgets are vetted, approved and published.

By that time I would hope they will have their color coding and chart keys issues addressed and some custom charting functionality built in with java. That way you can write up YOUR custom queries on your local and it will ping the databases and mind datasets for the information you want to see.
