The video did not show if the F1 car had the proper warm up of those wheels so I cannot say that was the case. But those tires are very slick if not in "operational temperature". It looked like the driver was having heck of a time getting the car straight almost from launch.

I wish there was in-car available. He was thrashing the rev limiter the entire way down the straight. He should have been in at least 4th or 5th gear, which would have made it damn near impossible for him to spin like that.

Standard warm-up & pre-launch procedures for F1 teams definitely have them using tire warmers. They couldn't have been "cold" per se. I'm sure the team wouldn't have let them go on a filthy track either, but that whole video looks like a lot of things were taken casually / for granted that shouldn't have been.

Obviously way too much car for UAE Champion Rally Driver Mohammed Sulayem.

The crash is blamed on a 'sandy track,' funny it didn't bother the GT40.
