At any point on that post, or the one that triggered it do I provide ANY assessment of the quality of DHS staff? You really need to get a clue and gain some skills if you want to start thinking like an adult. So far it is not working for you.

And, I note that, while you twice obfuscate the point of my post by the red herring of the DHS quality you twice failed to address my original question back on Post#55. I will repeat it. Are you going to avoid the hard questions like you usually do?

From Post#55
Which brings us to today's TAX Rebellion. It was a very good display of concern about deficit spending and taxation.

So what were these doing among the tax issues? Do rightwing protesters just have a hard time focusing and keeping on point?
Hey you were the one who brought it up. So what do you say about the quality of the report then? Is it a competent report? If so then the people who created it must be competent people. If it is an incompetent report (which I think it is as it does nothing to help Law Enforcement in fact is harms the effort because now all the nut jobs know what the Gubment is looking for) then it was written by incompetent people.

Or so it would stand to reason.

So I guess you like posting those pictures because...?

Come on now give us the benefit of your above par critical thinking skillz here. Lay it on us!

I don't wish to sound bad, but from reading this, and most preceding threads of this kind, I conclude that you all are eagle scouts and this (and the other threads) are part of a Bull$#!t Jamboree.

Speaking of boy scouts, no person who reached the Maximum Magistrature is a straight shooting being. Neither GW, nor BO, nor you name him/her. So keep it up, it's funny but leads nowhere.

Stability is the root of this Country, even if it falls under the Mickey Mouse aegis. There will be no take over by any nut army, being from the right, the left or the center. From Faux [I wanted to get a fairly unbalanced view of the subject]

Texas Gov. Rick Perry fired up an anti-tax "tea party" Wednesday with his stance against the federal government and for states' rights as some in his U.S. flag-waving audience shouted, "Secede!"

An animated Perry told the crowd at Austin City Hall -- one of three tea parties he was attending across the state -- that officials in Washington have abandoned the country's founding principles of limited government. He said the federal government is strangling Americans with taxation, spending and debt.

Perry repeated his running theme that Texas' economy is in relatively good shape compared with other states and with the "federal budget mess." Many in the crowd held signs deriding President Barack Obama and the $786 billion federal economic stimulus package.

Later, answering news reporters' questions, Perry suggested Texans might at some point get so fed up they would want to secede from the union, though he said he sees no reason why Texas should do that.

So, this confirms he didn't say it, then, doesn't it.

Actually, there's a guy who actually said GW was headed down the same road in the article. Surprised that didn't get edited out . . .

This is a worthy debate. We need not radicalize it saying a governor is a proponent of secession.

Can you not glean the reason from the question and the subject matter of the photos?

Do we need a logic test that asks the question: What does not belong in this group?

So let's see...

The tea party protests brought out some people with some flags. What happens when people of Leftist persuasion protest?

Think Seattle, WTO conference...

I don't see any violence going on there. Just the over reaction of the Storm Trooper Police. The Gestapo tactics of the Police trying to assert their authority over helpless protesters!

Compare those with Tea Party protests.

Yea I can see why you guys are so fearful of the Tea Party protests. Those hate mongers.

Shhhh!

Now you went and done it!

They're going to be on you like flies on scheisse! I can hear the humming now. Not black helicopters! More like McBear, Drewprof, FTL sending PM's to each other and it is the hum of their keyboards typing out messages like:

Drewprof: "Did you see that message from Cancer Researcher to TNT?"
McBare: "Yeah I did. We can't have any of that"
FTL: "I know! I mean what if other people start thinking conservatives aren't the evil monsters we make them out to be?"
Drewprof: "They won't. It can't be done because they are all puppets of their zionist masters and we know the truth!"
FTL: "I know, I know! That is what I keep saying! I broke their CODE! I have been reading their secret messages in the press about the armed rebellion coming up. It was like something out of that Russel Crowe movie, 'A Beautiful Mind.'"
Drewprof: "You know he was insane don't you?"
FTL: "Yes but he was just so smart and intelligent! I broke the CODE!"
McBear: "Huh? What?"

Well, the sound bite I heard, of which this is a narrative sounded somewhat like he was talking out of both sides of his mouth. On the one hand saying "secession is a possibility" and then throwing out a caveat of "but its not likely there would be a need". What part do those who are wound up hear?

And I agree it is a valid debate. The interesting part is how it is occurring and what the triggers are. It certainly is not simply a tax issue, THAT would make sense. The sheer number of rebel flags, "try and take my guns", immigration and "we don't bow" signs suggest it ended up being a National Pouting Day for NeoCons who lost the election and really needed a cathartic experience to move on.

As someone said on one of the threads, it is much like a group didn't like the outcome of the election and somehow want to take their ball and, lip quivering go home. [OK, I added the quivering part].

To me they took a VERY REASONABLE IDEA [a referendum on taxes and the philosophy from which we tax] and screwed it up royally by making it a NeoCon bitchfest. It will be very interesting to see what the results and outcomes are.
