By the way, I was listening to that Countdown with Olbermann show tonight that my painter had blaring in the other room. Sounded like he gave Pelosi a pretty hard time over States Secrets Act and Sovereignty issue within the Patriot Act.

He then brought in EFF to drive the point home. It didn't seem all that leftie partisan.

um...re-read my post on which you commented. Note that was NOT a rant about Bush, but against Obama and the Democrats.

If you are going to complain again Olbermann, I would imagine you might want to watch the show to get a trend of what he has to say instead of just listening to O'really's version or what the Right wing blogs have to say. I end up seeing it when I am at dinner sometimes as it is on the TV. I don't hear it, just read the captions but from what subject matter I see, it is not just rants on Bush.

I did enjoy his coverage of the "Teabaggers". I think those guys need to get out more before staging protests and making up slogans. It makes them look stupid.

Olbermann? Really?

I just went through a collection of 20 emails that I get on a regular basis from the left side of the spectrum and went out to five or so of the top left blogs to check.

There were TWO references to Olbermann. He is not even on the landscape of "Democratic leaders", nor does he, from what I can read or see achieve to be. He runs a TV show that discusses issues and points out absurdities.

I watched his Countdown quite often during the election (as well as CNN, etc.). Most, if not all of his 10 items to rant about were directed at Bush or his administration. I never heard him complain about Harry or Nancy or 0. Dems were always protrayed as the saintly types with GW as evil. It was entertaining in small doses.

Perhaps a significant distinction between the right and the left. In general, the left does not count drug-addled, hate-mongering entertainers among their leaders. I've seen Olbermann some as well, before the election; he seems a gifted entertainer at times, brilliant at other times, and an extreme partisan hack at all times.
