It doesn't matter, no one is paying attention.

I never met her before (except some old college photos) and only heard her name mentioned occasionally so I really didn't have much expectations.

Her appearance reminds me of a typical dyke. Short hair and no make up, her mannerism is kind of manly. She was in a pair of jeans, a L.L.Bean shirt, and a pair Sketcher shoes. OK, maybe that's her style but to me thats a little too butchy for any woman.

When she showed us pictures of her life in the Mid-West, I noticed most people she hangs out with are women and they are all very lesbian looking.

After we got home, I asked my girlfriend if her friend is a dyke and she got offended and told me her friend is not. I asked her how she knows and she said she knows her all her life. Then I asked why her friend is 42 and not even dating, and the answer was that she did date but was hurt so she shies away from relationships.

I know I can't make a judgment base on people's clothing, but don't you guys think most women like to dress like a woman, not like a man? Unless she is a dyke? Then again, some dykes are very feminine, like Ellen DeGeneres.

Clearly in the pictures I saw some of the women were hanging on to one another, a gesture you never see me doing with another guy. So my girlfriend thinks I am insulting her friend and what goes in my mind is why is she defending her? Then I was getting panic thinking maybe my girlfriend is yet to come out of the closet. Yikes!!!
Yes, she's a dyke. Your girlfriend is in denial. Maybe there's some 3-way hotness in your future, but don't count on it. Move on.

Don't worry, I won't. If you have met her, any imaginations are out the windows. She looks like the kind who can kick the entire BWOT asses and some more.

Can you tell just by looking?

Depends how close you try to look....
