No big deal. Right? Bush had sold his should to the devil (AIPAC/Israel). This is why he was elected twice! The propaganda machine is much stronger than the common American knows or believes.
I don't know if Argentina has the 7th largest Jewish population. I only knew that at one time it was New York, Buenos Aires and Tel Aviv in order of Jewish population, but this was long ago. I was out of Argentina for over 35 years, when I came back the Jewish Community had been shaken down years before by the bombing of the Israeli Embassy and the building of a Community Organization (DAMIA) similar to B'nai Brith. Perhaps this is the sequel why you cannot find a kosher delicatessen, and the religion seems to be practiced in a subdued manner. On the other side of the coin, I see more Muslims in typical middle eastern clothing, which is nothing I had seen before. But the atmosphere seems different to what I remember from seeing a store owned by a Jew, next to a store owned by a Syrian, who lived doing and supporting each other's business.
I am neither a Jew, nor a Muslim, nor a national of Argentina. I'm just an Amearican guy who sees what's going on in the World and dislikes it a lot. "The Palestine Solution", as it was called after world war II, did not solve anything (just got the Brits off the hook). You cannot rob Paul to pay Peter. And there are fanatics, bad intentioned people on both sides, and specially on the sidelines, feeding the fire for their own benefit. Unfortunately, the weak majority is the only one that suffers, and in their suffering they sometimes become blind because when there is not justice, they find the answer in revenge.
The Republican Party has not had a Presidential Candidate of my devotion after Ronny. Nevertheless, when you win an election and whomever lost that election become sore losers, which put down whom their co-citizens elected and had to represent the Country for eight years, I don't like it. That's why I don't speak, for instance, about LBJ: right or wrong he was the President. You chose not to have such respect, it's your prerogative.
As for propaganda, remember that Madison Ave. was invented in the US: consumerism and capitalism go hand in hand; and as every system is good as long as the human factor does not screw it up. It certainly helps to win elections, all kinds of elections (speaking of machines, how were ever and are now things in Chicago).
And get it into your head, I don't love JWB or JHWB, I just respect them and the Office they represented. You don't like this, tough cookies.
