I agree with this article completely. It covers the problem from Gramm, Leach, Bliley, to the lack of Regulations to the failure to regulate those laws on the books. It addresses the 35:1 leverages that I have been talking about since 2006 on this board.

You seem to confuse the problems that triggered this failed economy and the failure of the financial sector with the very minuscule element of the problem which is executive compensation which you focused on with the BIG BOLD TYPE in the last three paragraphs.

The real meat of the problem is within all the ellipsis that you conveniently left out of the original post.

Those are very substantiated by simple analysis. Just because you don't understand them does not make them incorrect or "leaps of logic".

I was just summarizing your previous reply.

mcbear says : Those are very substantiated by simple analysis. Just because you don't understand them does not make them incorrect or "leaps of logic".

Those statements that you reference above ARE very easily substantiated by simple analysis. That you declare that they are "unsubstantiated leaps of logic" is just not based on any fundamental economic principles.

What you infer from my comment that they are very easily proofed is fully up to you. I can't control that.
