I have heard nothing but bad come of it. There is no such thing as a "domesticated wolf". But the best reason of all not to own one is the liability issue, owning a wolf can be presented in court as an inherently negligent act and you will get your financial clock cleaned for everything you have if he attacks any one, guaranteed you will be living under a bridge or in prison by the time they finish with you. Texas also has some pretty strict laws on the subject due to the danger to livestock and children, both of whom that animal will see as prey.
I'd go find me a nice German import long haired Shepard, hell they are as big as a freight train and look about as wolfish as you can get.
Recall that earlier generations faced down fascism and communism not just with missiles and tanks, but with sturdy alliances and enduring convictions. They understood that our power alone cannot protect us, nor does it entitle us to do as we please. Instead, they knew that our power grows through its prudent use; our security emanates from the justness of our cause, the force of our example, the tempering qualities of humility and restraint.
