I think Bear agrees with me, and I hope he will set you straight, otherwise WGAF.
The reason the Obama Administration chooses to prop up AIG is EXACTLY the reasons that FTL gives.

We agree only that YES, the Obama Administration, much like the Bush Administration Chose to keep AIG alive. There is a VERY significant reason for it.

YOU DON'T seem to understand that concept.

Bush fanned the flames of socialism toward the gate. Now Obama feels he must open the burning gate and let consume the remnants of the house the fore fathers built in order to move us toward the seemingly inevitable social equality.

I find it rather annoying that there seems to be a lot more outrage and discussion about these AIG bonuses than the whole fucking Iraq war started on lies. And that makes me wonder what our priorities really are.

I understand the choice made but I don't believe the choice will make any difference at the end. It is really a matter of faith.

I don't think we will ever get to a balance of social equality. We might get to one that is socially acceptable to a majority but there will never be pure equality in this country as long as we ahve an entrepreneurial spirit and folks who are willing to stand their ground for their rights, whatever they believe them to be.
