Easily done with a well maintained Benz, and you wouldn't need a stick to hold the hood up.

The only Benz I can see doing this without engine or transmission rebuild is a 123 chassis 240D non turbo 4 speed manual. This car is way overbuilt for its modest power output and therefore it would last a long time. But getting to this mileage would require very strict maintenance and frequent good quality oil changes.
