Stewart v Cramer: BEST Interview EVER

This is a three part interview regarding the financial mess. It started when Stewart threw rocks at CNBC for being cheerleaders for the financial sector [sound familiar] and escalated.

For Jim Cramer fans, grab a drink or a xanax, this is somewhat painful.

And watch ALL THREE PARTS. Besides watching Cramer get whipped, it is VERY informative and illuminating.

You might try upgrading your acustacoupler. I hear they have even blown beyond 14.4.

I believe they might be loading a bit slow because everyone is watching. They have loaded realtime here each time but that doesn't mean it will always be the case.

My note that made the NYT this morning what pretty much in that vein.

The interview got to the very crux of the issue. Entities such as CNBC, which make their MONEY by selling advertising to financial institutions acted as a cheerleader for the financial sector which poured millions into their own coffers.

Santelli, Cramer, Kudlow and others provided years of advice either oblivious to the technicals or fully cognisant of them, all the time selling advertising slots on their shows and touting access to the folks in power.

They knew, but telling the truth to the viewers would have meant turning on their advertisers and admitting to the failures of the system that made them rich.

I believe that is gross conflict of interest.

And why doesn’t CNBC President Mark Hoffman have an email address available for the public?

I heard a report on NPR tonight about the interview - Stewart better be careful or his little comedy show might end up covering the news better than ‘real’ news programs.

It has been for a couple of years.

Anyone that thinks it is just comedy doesn't get it. Only thing about the show that is set wrong is the audience. If he would do the show without it and sharpen it for viewers I think it would be a better vehicle. The audience allows it to stay in the gray area a bit more.
