You cannot even recognize Rush's hate, nor can you accept someone's point of view that is not exactly like yours, which of course is what Rush himself espouses continually and you either copy or agree with so deeply you cannot see the hate or fear yourself. It is your inability to adjust and your indulgent self justifying, lazy, ways that make you such an easy target for any hawk with an angle to grind. Stop being victims and go out and set some changes you feel are important into motion.
I accept many points of view besides my own. I tend to accept them much easier when they are founded in either fact or informed opinion, rather than regurgitated dogma.
I had dinner a few nights ago, as I do a couple of times a month with a retired Federal Judge and a retired State Chief Justice of the Kentucky Supreme Court among other folks. One is a rabid Conservative, the other a pretty left wing Liberal. Most of the other folks fall somewhere in between. The one thing in common with everyone at the table was that there was NO empty rhetoric. Everyone, to a person discussed based on fact or VERY informed opinion. There were no quotes from pundits or stray shots from the cheapseats. The discussion ranged from quiet to heated and back several times. The important part was that EVERYONE respected everyone's opinion because it was fact based. Folks who throw out partisan dogma and silliness have been embarrassed from the group years ago.
The local talk show host, who tried to become involved a couple of years ago lasted exactly two dinners.
