Firefox flies very quick for me. I am using it on a box that builtup 11/06 so it is not that new and certainly hasn't been tuned up as much as necessary.

It was on a brand new machine. Use it a while, it'll become a P.O.S. for you too. Or not if you're lucky. It still sucks.

I have used nothing but firefox on ALL four win based machines [xppro/vista] for a couple of years. I have never had a single problem.

Only thing I don't like is the inability to quickly go into the temp directory and pull masses of files off to another directory. I can still do it but it takes three steps instead of one.

Any bets as to when Google will enable ad-blocking in its Chrome browser (cue theme from Jeopardy....)?

BTW, we're on 3.0.7 now, so it's a whole new game.

Considering Google is one of the ones blocked here, I'd think they'll have a hard sell of such an app given that is how they make money. However, if they open source it, someone else (perhaps Ad Blocker) will fill the void.

As to the new version, I'm only guessing, but for one person it's probably 0.1 worse than 3.0.6.

1. We have a winner!
2. Don't hold your breath.

Chrome is an instrument of Internet hegemony. It is lightweight and very fast -- until you hit an ad-laden site like BW.

Sucks but forced to use it. I liked the older version better.
