Insurance companies, private copays, and yes, probably government aid programs. The percentage of those fees that may or may not be taxpayer funds is open to debate at this point. Even if a majority of their fee income is aid generated, they are providing a service, the same as any provider of any service for which the government pays. Whether the funding is direct or indirect, that you disagree with the service provided is your prerogative, but I say far better for social services here than the exploding of bombs and the dying of soldiers in places where we are not wanted and 'victory' is but an ephemeral slogan.
So again I ask, how do YOU suggest the authorities should have proceeded in the case of these scofflaw parents?
