Pakistan surrenders part of it's country to the Taliban

Well, we are getting closer and closer to the ultimate price we will pay for Bush's Iraq obsession as Al Queda and the Taliban move ever closer to taking control of Pakistan's nuclear arsenal:

FOXNews.com - Pakistan Blasted for Creating Taliban Safe Haven With Islamic Law Deal - International News | News of the World | Middle East News | Europe News

We fought the wrong war. We will pay a terrible price for it.

Recall that earlier generations faced down fascism and communism not just with missiles and tanks, but with sturdy alliances and enduring convictions. They understood that our power alone cannot protect us, nor does it entitle us to do as we please. Instead, they knew that our power grows through its prudent use; our security emanates from the justness of our cause, the force of our example, the tempering qualities of humility and restraint.

As they so succinctly planned, now we have to continue the fight indefinitely.

Maybe, maybe not. The incessant whining and crying is such an unconstructive waste of energy.

You are reading it wrong.

The surrender is a result of the new administration which was definitely not consulted beforehand. This agreement between Pakistan and the Taliban would not have been permitted by the Bush administration.

This is exactly what pussyfooting leads to. Dictators and extremist groups are now liberated to make their own deals knowing that we will not be rolling in any armies in the next 4 years.

Not permitted? Are you a fool? They permitted Bin Laden to fucking LIVE THERE.
