It's pretty windy here today

Gusts up to 40mph and it's 52˚. Listening to the wind reminds me of beach front vacationing.

It sounds like crashing waves out there ... very relaxing as long as I don't think about the possibility of my 150' tall evergreens doing something like this:

At least the grill made it through the storm.

That is nothing, several times a year in Dallas the wind sails right past 60 mph. We're not talking gusts either.

10 years ago, wind like that would only have concerned me if I was planning to ride my motorcycle. Ever since I became a homeowner, I'm more concerned.

I know this wind is fairly mild, but we don't get it often here and it seems like all the dead limbs and damaged/sick/too old trees get dislodged when we do.

My yard is full of sticks and branches right now. Free kindling.

I guess you could say that.

I would be much happier if I could learn to let go of worry. I don't see that happening any time soon though since I have two toddlers.

Remember what we talked about yesterday? be anxious for nothing. Worrying doesn't help anything.
