Now my question is how do I get Obama to pay for it? I will acknowledge that it was Bush's fault but he is gone and Barry is my President.

I can't possibly be expected to foot this bill. I need help.

The tax cuts are intended as ancillary to the programs, as a booster. That is why they are a bit less than 1/3 of the entire program.

Being smart is knowing the difference, in a sticky situation between a well delivered anecdote and a well delivered antidote - bear.

I think that 13 bucks a week might do more good than anyone seems to think. If everyone got a lump sum of $400 or so, most of it would probably go to credit card debt or catching up on some other bills (utility comes to mind here in the Land of Pleasant Living). On the other hand, what are you going to do with $13?

It will go in your pocket as spending money for Mcdoubles and a small fry or a triple half caf choco viente jaun valdez special. Maybe you'll pay the paperboy one more time and keep your favorite left/right slanted daily press running another month.

Twenty dollars a week might actually end up in a lot of savings accounts but $13? It's too stupid of an amount to trifle with. It's a beer frame at the bowling alley. It's the difference between staying home and watching HBO or going to the Cineplex and buying the buttered popcorn.

When you multiply it by all the working households in the country...

it just might be what we need.

It'll cover my XBOX Live subscription and a couple of obscure porn sites for me...
