The sound of the new generation worries me because...

it is looking rearward in a sentimentalistic sort of way. This is not progressive, it seems defensively hopeless, sort of fuck it in a way, we can't help it. This is a great song because the pop upbeat sound is deceptively ironic to the sad message it portrays, that being that there is nothing we can do. This is not the sort of thing we need to imbue our young ones with. This is part of the lyrics, listen to Feel Good Inc for the rest.

Laughing gas these hazmats, fast cats,
Lining them up like ass cracks,
Ladies homies at the track
Its my chocolate attack.
Shit, I'm stepping in the heart of this here
Care bear bumping in the heart of this here
Watch me as I gravitate
Yo, we gonna go ghost town,
This motown,
With yo sound
You're in the place
You gonna bite the dust
Can't fight with us
With yo sound
You kill the INC.
So don't stop, get it, get it
Until you're Jet Ahead.
Yo, watch the way I navigate

Hmm, I've always wondered this myself. Now I know.

-The Silent generation, people born before 1946.

-The Baby Boomers, people born between 1946 and 1964.

-Generation X, people born between 1965 and 1984.

- Generation Y,people born between 1985 and 2004.

Why do we call the last one generation Y?

I did not know, but a caricaturist explains it eloquently below

...Learned something new
