That's right! Think about all of the nice parts you can put on that W126; hell, I will even hook you up with some bling. Got spinners, vinyl flames for the body, AMG decals, antennas that will make you look important like you're running a communication center in that car, Carat Du Chalet upholstery with TV screens and mini fridges in the arm rests... etc.
Let me know

Yeah when you mention all that, I think this debt free thing isn't for me anymore. Time to blow money like its water and forget about the consequences, hell that's what most sports and tv stars do, right?

Tell me about it! Actually I have a great plan! Here it is...
I will be going off to residency for 3 year starting next year hopefully and then off to a fellowship in Hematology/Oncology for anothe 3 years making only~$40k/year. After getting out, I will be immediately starting off in the mid 6 figures! In one year I can pay off the ~$200k and then plan on living a very modest lifestyle in a modest apartment for another couple of years which will enable me to save up ~$700+k cash. If God is on my side then I will pay cash for my first home! Loans are evil!

Good plan man. If you can do that you'll be in the top 2% financially speaking, among your colleagues. Most Docs make great money, but have piles of debt. It's hard to go through as much school as you guys do, and even think about sacrificing for a couple more years to get out of debt. Most want their porsches and mcmansions, right away! Doing it your way will give you peace beyond your imagination. It hasn't even really sunk in yet, but it feels real good already.
