Someone dropped off a 4 year old boy last night permanently??!!

It is true. My brother and sister in law finally landed the ability to adopt a child, the first one is here now. In this case a 4 year old who was taken away from a mother and father hooked on drugs. This has been 2 years in the making and boom, last night was the unexpected dump off. There was no advance notice or warning. The courts are proceeding with all the legal mumbo jumbo and it appears they have a taker in my sibling. Wow, just wow.

That's great. My wife works in children services for the county and more often than not that type of story does NOT have a happy ending. Hopefully the child is not permanently scarred by the whole mess.
Oh, and Shane, your avatar selection with the various sheep is disturbing. Really.

Shane's a wolf in the clothing of the masses.

I hope everything works out for the child and your sibs, Uncle Shane.

Thats cool Shane, I support adoptions. In fact I have adopted a policy of drinking heavily on nights and weekends like free cell phone minutes.

By spring we will see pictures of Uncle Shane teaching Wax On, Wax Off.

This is good stuff. Not everyone is willing to accept an older child from extenuating circumstance. That takes balls.

No doubt, big props to the family. I'm sure you'll be very willing to help them out, as they'll need it. Hopefully there won't be any late-blooming psychological trauma to fight with (or at least not much). I'm sure he'd enjoy a ride in a drop-top barge.
