Well lady, there is a specialty known as ergonomics. Airplane seats are designed for people, not for whales! Some people just cannot seem to be able to admit that they are at fault, not somebody else.
Southwest Airlines makes the really fat folks buy two tickets for a given flight, but if there are unfilled seats on the plane, when they arrive at destination, they can get a refund for one ticket. A very fair policy. What they should do is sell them those seat belt extenders, instead of loaning them. After all you now have to "rent" pillows and blankets.

On a different note, -2 degrees Celsius is a very warm day in Canada, it being about 28 degrees Fahrenheit.
