I had a landline for three months and never ever used it. I used it to finish an application process. I canceled the line because I never had 1 incoming or out going call. I convinced the phone company to reverse all the charges because nothing was used and they did. I haven't used a land line since I was a teenager living in Brooklyn. I have 2 cell phones, 1 for phone calls and 1 for internet searching. No snags or problems with doing it this way. T-Mobile has this great thing called FlexPay Drew you should look into it, don't do prepaid, cuz it sucks.

I still have a landline but flipped it to the cable company and kept the number I have had since 1985. The package deal is much better.

For international I either use Skype or AIM, depending on circumstance.

Once I got my numbers on the no call list most of my telemarketing calls ceased within a quarter. Check both the national and state lists.

I got the Triple Play Package deal through the Cable company and had no complaints. I had it working with the monitored home alarm system and everything. Then one night the alarm start blaring at 2:35 a.m.

Line Cut

I do a sweep, everything is cool.

2 nights later...WOOP WOOP WOOP WOOP

Sweep and clear, nothing. I call the cable company the next morning. No service was going on so why did we lose signal?

"I didn't lose signal? Really? Well my Alarm going off at the same time within 3 night indicates to me you are doing work or losing signal or something."

That night 2:35 a.m. WOOP WOOP WOOP WOOP

I called and called and called. Just tell us when the the service is going on. So we ended up switching to the land line and paying an extra $12 per month so we could get a decent nights sleep.

Other than that, loved the service.
