At the very least, this dirtbag is guilty of conspiracy (look it up and I'll help explain the law to you mzsmbs). There's no way this went as far as it did if there were nothing "unlawful" about what they have him on tape doing and saying. Give me a fuckin' break here! Anyone who is convinced this guy got a raw deal needs to put down the crack pipe and back away from the PC.
But see this is where the law comes in.
Nobody has been talking about what the overt act for the conspiracy is. It is not against the law to talk about doing a crime. You must do something that gives reasonable expectation that you will commit the crime.
Now from what I hear I would believe the idiot would be selling that Senate seat right now if the investigation had not been leaked.
That is the whole problem and why I think the the prosecutor has not moved quickly since the anouncement.
I am sure there are all sorts of charges like "Conduct unbecoming" and stuff like that. But I have not heard of anything like money changing hands or stuff like that.
On top of that I think there is more to the Rahm Emmanuel connection. I think there is a bigger connection to the Obama administration than what is being played out.
I don't think that President Obama himself was involved directly in those conversations. I do think that a few of his minions were though. We shall see what happens in the wash though.
Who's John Galt.
