It really is funny. All the while during the past several years, the Bush administration had been harshly criticized in regard to policy. Obama is harshly criticized for.............. what again?

Gee-zus, even I had enough sense to STFU about Bush for quite a long while after the incredulous '04 election result, just figuring the people had spoken and all. You either respect the process or you don't.

It is well proven that in their society and within their mindset they only respect the strongman and your method of group hug only infuriates and shows weakness. You and I could have a beer and a good laugh over our differences and agree to disagree. Thats the way of the modern world and you can't drag them kicking and screaming into yours. Arc Light is extreme but still a viable option if things really get out of hand.
I think you might need to gain a more clear perspective of the Muslim population and their "mindset".

How many Muslims have you sat down with and had a beer and a good laugh over your differences and agree to disagree? Or maybe not agree to disagree but at least gain a personal perspective of each others life.

How many have you had in your home? How many do you work with? From where do you gain your perspective?

Because you're smarter than Obama, thus fully qualified to sit in judgment. Have you considered sitting back and watching until the big picture starts coming into focus?

The die has been cast.

(Wait a minute, are you actually NOT disagreeing with my assessment ?)

House vote on stimulus bill takes partisan slant -- Newsday.com

The near party-line vote of 244-188 in the House undercut President Barack Obama's attempt to build hope for broad bipartisan support for a massive spending and tax-cut bill to kick start an economy stalled in a deep recession.

In fact, no Republicans voted for the $819 billion package, which GOP leaders have described as too big and containing too much spending that will not stimulate the economy or create jobs.

I like the stuff that gives a hearty FU to the Nazi-Bush States of America. Even if it's just symbolic, it sends an important message. OTOH, I'm a bit appalled at the financial crap so far. Still, I figure Obama is a helluva lot smarter than me, so I'll just sit back, give him the benefit of the doubt, and watch for a while. IMHO, there is nothing more foolish than a rush to judgment.

I note from that chart that he was "ahead" only 2 weeks out of the last SEVEN MONTHS. It is not as if he had been cruising ahead the entire time and just stumbled when the ticked off dave and got shut down in DC.

THAT is the history. It doesn't need a rewrite as far as the folks on the left are concerned.

I am sure there is a brilliant rejoinder hiding in that post somewhere just hoping and praying to get out. If only it had been written to where it made any sense.

I watched the press conference today and the new press drone used an interesting metaphor which is very apropos here as well

Regarding the stimulus package, its contents and the concurrent activities in DC, He said that he was amazed that so many folks were trying to call the winner of the ballgame in the top of the third inning. He said that this is a specific process with a great many players, the White House, 435 members of Congress, banks looking for monies, folks in the market looking for direction and all are working toward a goal.

And he was amazed that some folks were deciding to call the "winner" and "loser" at the top of the third.
