But teaching ethical lessons is a good thing. Running up the score like that was just wrong on so many levels.

Dallas Academy has eight girls on its varsity team and about 20 girls in its high school. It is winless over the last four seasons. The academy boasts of its small class sizes and specializes in teaching students struggling with "learning differences," such as short attention spans or dyslexia.

This is the great sportsmanship taught in America that has made our country the consumeristic, arrogant, spoiled, got to have it all society that has contributed so much to our current collection of economic issues.

No you don't just quit in Q3. You just don't Full court press the entire game and two minute drill against a team that has special needs kids on it. And yes, they would have known that.

if the other kids were special need kids then the athletic board has made a blunder by even letting these teams to meet. otherwise, full press to the end.

if i was on the losing team and they pulled up, besides being badly beaten, i would feel insulted.

Running up a score on a lesser opponent is poor sportsmanship, period.

College and professional teams put things into 'coast mode' all the time in the case of blowouts or insurmountable leads. Except maybe Florida.

Inserting lesser skilled reserve players late in a blowout game is good for all involved, both as an effort to not humiliate an over matched foe as well as to get game time for younger or novice players.

With a 59-0 lead at the half, any Coach worthy of the title would do just that. Not push for a century mark point total which one must assume was the impetus. Fuck that slimeball and kudos to the school's upper management.
