And I respectfully disagree that he is funny. Bob Hope was funny. Johnny Carson was funny. They're old. Dave Barry is bland. He tells the jokes my son could tell.
That's the thing with Barry, he is not a joke teller. He is a story teller. It's like David Sadaris, no jokes, just funny stories.

^ Stories with dick jokes.

But that would mean going to the doctor's office, which, in your imagination, has a giant neon sign outside that says ''VIAGRA DOCTOR, PROVIDING VIAGRA FOR GUYS WHO NEED VIAGRA.''
Limp ones, at that.

I'm with Qubes on this one. When I first started reading Barry's Sunday columns, I thought they were hilarious but after the 5th or 6th story, I realized he was telling the same story over and over but supplying different facts. His gag bits were just retreads like the "with all the passion of a man who has a rabid shrew in his undershorts" line. Last week it was a vole. Next week it will be a lemur, no doubt.

Well, when you're a little man, then yes, the step is nice. As my bones become more brittle, the leap from the tailgate is no longer made with confidence but with more than a little trepidation. There was a time when I'd approach a chain link fence and do the one handed vault without a second thought. Now I don't even think about trying...cup or no cup.

I have no qualms with the GMC. Yours is that unfortunate compromise between interior cab space, exterior bed length and the distance from bumper to bumper.

For my purposes, anything less than an 8 foot bed is unsuitable as I have grown tired of leaning 10 sheets of drywall against the lip of the tailgate instead of sliding them into the bed and flipping the tailgate shut.

The extra cab just makes it too difficult to find a parking spot.

IMHO, Dave Barry redeemed himself for all time when he declared that "The purpose of the apostrophe in Standard American Written English is to alert the reader that an 's' is coming up at the end of a word."

Have we discussed the time I tried to point out the error in a price sign to a convenience store clerk?

Just imagine a handmade sign on the soda dispenser stating;
