^ What do you mean "until"? We already know it's drivetrain related.

Hmmm... Thanks for the opinions. I will, of course, get back to you when it's finally figured out.

btw, I was thinking of getting the M-class benz, but it was just too small. Overall, I'm quite satisfied with my Jeep--actually I love her. I'll agree that a lot of the older models were heaps, requiring a lot of cash for upkeep. (I hope mine doesn't become one, too.) Until now, the only problem I've had has been weak hydraulic lifters on the back gate (replaced under warranty). Fortunately, since she's still under warranty, all the upcoming work will be covered by the warranty, too.

So does the damn thing rattle when rev'd in neutral or park or not?

It's a Jeep, maybe it ran over something while off-road?

However someone once told me that jeep was actually an acronym for Just Empty Every Pocket.

Don't you just hate it when asked for help, you get only lip service. I think the jeep has more miles on it than it would appear. Additionally, his reference to fast high RPM starts suggest hard driving. I will go with the valve train at increased RPM as the noise. Just my opinion.

The fact that he won't answer my question (or Shane's) indicates he was jacking around with something, forgot about it/didn't know it would do that, and is now frantically trying to correct it before embarrassing himself at the dealer again.

Geez, guys. Sorry. I've been kinda busy and haven't gotten around to trying the revs in park thing yet. I'll do it this evening before my kids get home.
