A) Hamas was elected not only by Gazans but also West Bank Palestinians. Let's bomb them too.
A lot of people don't know why Palestinians elected Hamas. The incompetence and corruption of previous governments was too much to ignore. People chose Hamas because they thought they can be better. They know Hamas efficiently runs charities, schools, clinics (I'm sure Americans don't know this. They think Hamas are a bunch of combatants and that's it) so maybe they can as efficiently run a government. The mere election of Hamas caused an immediate reaction from Israel (and the US, as well). Who gave Israel, the US or anybody else any right to tell anybody who to elect and who not to elect??
If Israel didn't intervene with the blockade, they might have turned Hamas into a peace partner, the way Fatah (PLO's main faction) turned into a peace partner.
This will be my last post on the matter, as it keeps coming full circle and you don't appear capable of comprehending what you're being told - still incredulous that poor old Palestinians are being treated unfairly by big mean Israel.
You guys constantly cherry-pick events and completely forget others; key in on one statement by someone, and ignore your own. The world has a better memory than that, and won't often find sympathy with someone who is pointing a rocket at them.
Finally, I don't give a shit WHO you elect - but don't act like it doesn't matter that your elected party of representatives are the ones who A) cannot gain control of their little parcel of land from even their ALLIES, and B) cannot comprehend even the simplest of nuances regarding international relations.
It is this supreme ignorance that causes them to treat EVERY little affront as the highest form of insult / declaration of war; that causes them to think tossing grains of sand against the rock of Gibraltar will somehow wear it down; that results in the lives of truly innocent civilians being lost.
If the people of Palestine really felt they weren't being represented adequately or appropriately by Hamas, there would be effigies burned and riots in the street calling for THEIR blood as payment for the blood of innocent families. Instead, perhaps because people are so hell-bent on the extinction of Israel, they continually act against their own best interests just to serve that futile and ridiculously bloodthirsty goal.
