That's wrong and you know it.
I'm suggesting Hamas A) shouldn't have lobbed rockets first for certain, B) shouldn't have been carrying on preparing to attack Israel while under a cease fire - no matter how inept the forces, and C) realize that if they withdraw troops from their border with Israel, there will no longer be a "front"; hence no longer be bloodshed.
If Hamas were to cease military activity and Israel persisted, do you really think the world would not turn on them in a heartbeat? If they established an army following Geneva conventions (e.g. wear a uniform instead of being a disgusting coward dressing like regular civilians), and never fired first, your biggest problem would be that you had no excuse to kill Israelis.
Here's a salient point that you and your type keep glossing over - if Hamas had the weaponry of Israel at it's disposal, there is NO DOUBT they'd have used IT, instead of the pathetic munitions they have to make by hand. It's unimportant to anyone whether or not Hamas has been effective at killing Israelis en masse, because the intention - so often and clearly stated - is on full display. Again.
This is a fight Hamas chose to pick
, and the fact they're getting their asses handed to them is completely and totally irrelevant.
Again, I don't think the U.S. should have ANY dog in this fight, and I'm not defending or excusing Israel for it's part in whatever fuels the disputes (settlements no doubt). A military response to a transgression - even a violent one - is seldom if ever fruitful. Turn the other cheek - the more you do that, the more evident Israel's aggression will be - the more their true colors will show - and the more support Palestinians would get from the international community.
