That's a real good point. What is it that needs to be done?
Drew, we've been over it too many times, but people like you and the OP want to continue playing the "victim" game. I even saw a story from France where a Synagogue was fire bombed and the dirbags who did it had the balls to paint a statement that said the Israelis were "murderers" and "broke the truce". Preposterous. Hamas never observed the truce and has fired over 5000 rockets at Israel during this "truce". Where is the outrage for that? It's very simple:
1. STOP THE ROCKET FIRE
2. Stop calling for the destruction of Israel and the death of all Jews.
This alone makes peace impossible.
Only then can dialogue and a path forward to peace happen. Until then, no, 450+ dead and 2300+ injured are NOT enough. The Israeli people are fed up with living with the fear of a random rocket falling on say a school (boo-hoo, Palenstinians aren't the only ones to have schools hit and children die). I know, I know, it's not "equal", only XX Israelis have died compared to blah, blah, blah. I'm sick of hearing it like everyone else. You excuse Hamas because they don't understand that indiscriminate rocket fire that kills Israelis isn't doing a thing for their "cause", while proclaiming the Israeli reaction to be "disproportionate" or even a "crime" according to the OP. If logic cannot be used to reason with Hamas or the Palestinians as a whole, then they are lost, it's just a question of when, not if. They have no hope of winning this battle. To continue in the present vein is therefore illogical and places at least as much blame on the people who continue the tactics and those who support them. As long as these people continue to try to build up arms in an effort to wipe out Israel, I see no choice but for them to continue to keep a stranglehold on what goes in or out of Gaza.
