Dude... You do realize 4 wheel drive adds nothing to inbound cornering grip right? Just lie and say you do, I am trying to help you out here. Audi owners need education. The more they receive the less likely they are to buy any car with a high polar moment of inertia with the drivetrain forward of the front wheel axis.

Ok Mr Poopypants, why was Audi banned from several motorsports series in the '80's and '90's due to the Quattro system's "unfair advantage" over their lesser competitors? Exhibit A: Trans Am

Awd helps forward traction, it does not increase lateral traction. Ask anyone in the know. I own two awd cars and one 4 wheel drive one anyway. So please...
Also the race quattro you linked me to was a purpose built race car that used only the bare unibody and a few suspension components. Notice it did not have the normal Audi heavy front weight bias and was made 50/50 in weight distribution. Imagine that.

Certainly explains the Audi idiots cutting in and out of highway lanes at high speeds.

Have you heard of world rally? AWD revolutionized that racing series, thanks to the Quattro, and not just for its inherent forward traction advantages. Rally, like the Trans Am series is about the twistys, and AWD kills in each. All of the Trans Am cars were purpose-built, and the Quattro dominated because of its AWD prowess, despite less power than the competition. I own two Quattro wagons, and my Mercedes 2WD wagon would kill them in the twistys, but only 'cause they're completely bone stock and the MB has massive swaybars, big ol Brembos and way more torque. In a fair head-to-head, say with a mid-'90's S4/S6 wagon, the Quattros would absolutely dominate.
