your new, so I'll ask the question again, perhaps more simply as you have told us you are in the military, so possibly not that bright.

If you are duty bound to obey orders from those more senior in rank, and the POTUS (by virtue of democratically being elected to the position) is the most senior in rank, who gives a rats about what the military thinks - they are there to obey the orders of the senior rank.

Yes? No? Anything but would be a coup and that would not be democratic.

To answer your question, no I am not in the military, but see, they makes the forms simple and easy to read and anyone can look at what they say and what those who enlist promise to do on enlistment.

Should the lack of a constitutional prerequisite for military service be amended in order to be POTUS?

Nope, I'm content with how it is, and I never suggested that that it needs to be amended

I prefer POTUS with military experience, as I've said in about two other posts. That's about it.

and take your uniform off and say that as a private citizen and I will argue with you your right to say that. But, put the uniform on and you lose the right to make those sort of statements. Your role is then as a servant of the public, through the Congress and President, upholding their policy and direction (no matter how unpalatable).

Which leads me back to my original question, and I am not expecting you to answer it, I am just putting it out there (fell free to answer it if you wish).

Who gives a flying fuck what the military think about the democratically elected POTUS who happens to be their CIC, they are there to serve and do a job.

As private citizens, they may say what they wish (not everyone will agree with what they say).
