Ford Crown Victoria and Chevrolet ironically were the last of the great all american rear wheel drive, body on frame really reliable good family sedans ever sold in the USA. You can still buy a new Mercury Grand Marquis, (and a Ford Crown Victoria - assembled at STAP, the St Thomas Assembly plant in Windsor, Ontario Canada across the bridge from Detroit.)
This is pretty funny, what Dudley Do Right and the Perp are doing, but the truth is both of those cars are great ones, good for hundreds of thousands of miles. Even that old Pre 1991 box Caprice was the model used by Polic and cab companies for years and also highly prized in Saudi Arabia and Iraq where some still ply the roads over there.
