I am refraining my wit on this one. Of course I am sad for you and your family, I wish y'all better times; but what do you need out of all of this?

Dig,
After that write up, I'm positive she's looking down and saying thank you, with a huge smile.

It saddens me to hear of the loss of your family member.
May you and yours soon find peace with the loss and I wish you a healthy & happy new year.

It's the coming together of so many different people from all over the world, expressing their feelings at our loss that has added an extra layer of warmth, I suppose. Even though we lost the lively, vibrant person Tracee was over 8 years ago, she has still been a very central part of our family. Even the loss of someone so disabled for so long is still a shock.

Family is coming in from all over (I'm supposed to be cleaning off a makeshift desk I use for record keeping so the daybed that it really is can be used as I type this) and we're getting ready for a fairly big gathering. Several of those family members have already read this thread and were touched by the responses.

The days between the death of a family member and their funeral are a strange assortment of shock, acceptance, remembrance, arrangements, housecleaning, work and I don't know what else rolled into one. People like to hear good things right now because the hardest day is still to come.

Sorry, Shane. I can't do any better right now.

That is a good repsonse and my positive thoughts are with you. I live in a purely business oriented world of my own choosing. I keep close with the immediate family and friendly but distant with the rest. I am a loner by nature and only keep a very few close. These are my choices, all the positives and negatives that come from that will make themselves clearer one day when some form of mental or physical weakness cannot be ignored. I have also found that regardless the length of incapability, the final end is always a shock and a travesty.
