Now, focus on the issue at hand. It's not hard. This IS new. It is an Executive Order to try and provide legal safety for what has been a mostly passively illegal "refusal of service" action by folks who decided they don't want to serve everyone, just those who believe like them.
Again, you are saying that your morality trumps someone else's.

You are saying that another person does not have the right to decide if they should perform a procedure they are qualified to perform. You are saying they are REQUIRED to perform it because you want them to perform it.

Very "Personal Freedom-y" of you.

No, he is saying that it is the job they took and signed on for, the job they get to paid to perform without any discrimination on their part, towards anyone.

Nice try. Perhaps one more whack over the head with a two by four will drive the point home (doubtful), which is exactly where these so-called professionals should leave their so-called convictions. Objective legislation and subjective morality simply don't mix in a free society.

Perhaps we should have an actual Dr. or at least someone who knows about the Hippocratic Oath as it relates to medical licensing tell us some more.

You obviously have and agenda that is being squelched by allowing Medical Professionals more personal freedom. You will not see this as anything other than a problem.

All I can say is that the vast majority of problems in this world are solved more easily with greater freedom as opposed to greater regulation.

You just see this as the Patient's rights trump the rights of the Dr.'s.

I disagree and I will never agree with reducing the rights of one party in respect to another or with increasing one's rights with regard to another.

It is called a principle. Look it up. You may learn something new.

By the way, they are not discriminating against anyone. They are discriminating against a procedure.

And all this rule is saying is that the Dr.'s who refuse to perform procedures based on their personal morals will not be discriminated against by the government.

This is exactly what you are arguing against, but you're too locked into your peculiar brand of socialism to see it. Perhaps law enforcement officers should return to the good old days of enforcing only those laws each deems "moral", just as they did in the deep south 40 - 50 years ago. How far does it go?

No you are arguing against it my friend by saying that a Dr.'s views should be subjugated to his patients.

If that is the case then you actually are well on the road to being a good servant leader in the model of Jesus Christ.
