I'm with drew on this.In fact,I think posters can indulge & identify with the scorn of the shoe-thrower (Time's Man OF The Year Award) because it was NOT an assassination attempt. Had a gun been used rather than shoes, the postings here would be far different.Be very glad it was not more grievous...

I did a ton of research and interviewed a lot of people, it seems to work better on older cars without computer. There's company in Canada that make these hydrogen generators and sells exclusively to truckers. And this company has been around since 1996.

CHEC HFI Hydrogen Fuel Injection system reduces emissions and improves engine efficiency, reducing fuel consumption while producing more power. It works with your truck, right now.

But most suppliers are fly by night snake oil vendors. As for myself, the technology is unstable unless they can find a way to control the overheating otherwise it is too high maintenance to be worth installing it on your vehicle specially if gas price is as low as it is today. The Canadian company had there units place outside the engine compartment and they are quite expensive.

As much as I detest Bush, and agree he is responsible for his low support domestically and overseas, the idea that someone would throw an object at him while he is the President of the United States makes the United States look vulnerable. That he got two "shots" off makes us look inept. So, once I stopped laughing after the thirtieth viewing of the video I began to think the whole incident was not good for America.

The Iraqis should just throw us out of their country and take their case to the UN or World Court. Throwing things at the US President is not likely to gain them any favor within the US, and it is not likely to help their cause for a peaceful, quick end to this occupation. Jim

Uh, the whole history of America in Iraq is not good for America. In comparison to Bush's crimes, having a shoe thrown at him is pretty trivial. My hat's off to the guy. I did say "hat".

And were you and I able--in our putative democracy--to throw the Bush/Cheney regime out of power these last eight years? The Iraqis have a puppet regime to deal with. Eventually it will be gone and they will revert to their traditional form of government--dictatorship. The only question is how much more blood and treasure we will waste along the way.

Next time, let's all hope it's "the book".
