I like it here! I don't need movies to see some action, hell all I have to do is drive a mile or two and be part of a real life Ok Corral

Fucking Maryland is for the dogs. Heard another story of a store that detained a shoplifter (Sears I think) in Fredericksburg? Held him 3 hours after calling the police, and eventually just let him go. When the police finally showed up, they told 'em they'd let the guy go, so the cops called the guy at home, who offered to turn himself in. Everything I've heard of Maryland cops from the news & DP leads me to believe the Ravens and the Orioles aren't the only reasons people should move as far away as possible.

^^
That's true, I had a robber in my custody on his knees thanks to my dog and after waiting for almost an hour for the police to show up he managed to run away but not before he tried to swing a broken shovel at me that was laying next to him. The system in Baltimore is not geared to protect the innocent or come to their aid but it does seem to work well for the criminals who get a slap on the wrist from the courts and are back in the streets before you know it. Witness intimidation is a well known fact here in Baltimore; just go to court and see for yourself, most cases get dropped because no one shows up to testify.

I witnessed a robbery once. It was scary because the clerk could have had a gun behind the counter and it wouldn't be worth it. but I got away.

This in conjunction with some of the most restrictive gun laws in the nation – criminals must love Maryland.

They love it, and DC even more when regular people couldn't own guns I had to give away my gun when I moved to DC a few years ago

"Everyone should carry guns by law." A friend suggested that. What do you think? I don't know. What are the crime stats in countries that make it mandatory for citizens to carry guns?
