Non Political but I know everyone has an opinion question

My family and i will be moving overseas in the next year or so for a job transfer and we need a phone for her that will travel well. Here are the requirements that are prerequisites:

1. Quad Band
2. E-mail Capability
3. Blue Tooth Connectivity
4. Full QWERTY keyboard (either touch screen or hard-key)

The reason I am asking is because I know we have several international members and I know that we do not get the best selection of phones here in the U.S. Plus I am going to be in Singapore and Malaysia over the six months so I will be able to buy a phone at a very reasonable price.

I am not vehemently brand loyal to any one manufacturer so feel free to throw out any phone that you have had good experience with or you know that a friend has had good experiences with.

blackberry world edition. or,
if you can get it (I can't, it's not available on verizon) Blackberry Bold.
Good build quality, quick processor, world band capable. easy to learn, ergonomics are fine.
one draw back is the 'scripts' on some websites occasionally hang up the browser..
you should reboot if that happens.
other than that one minor glitch in the browser software..
it's a great choice.

I have never used Blackberry so please forgive my ignorance, do you have to do anything special for the e-mail to be "pushed" to the device instead of "pulled" by the device? Please assume that I would be using this on a residential ISP type connection or with GMail.

it has capabilities to use 'web based' email, your home ISP email, blackberry messenger service. SMS .
anything you want, it's got.
the letters are hard to read for my 55 yr old eyes.
I've had it for close to two years.
had one replacement for the 'end' key failure. it wouldn't END the call.
if I had to do it all over again. I'd still pick it,
even with all the new phone that have come out since.

Are you moving to one of the "Pro-America" parts of the country?

I know you said "overseas" but there are no "Pro-America" parts of the world left, even Kuwait and Israel snigger behind our backs now
