So true. They want to use every means in the book to over complicate things and then pull out what doesn't present as "Apples to Apples" and say it is inconsequential.

That to me says they do not understand the basics of capitalism.

Lesson one yoohoos, you sell a product for more than what it costs. That equals profit.

When you say that the cost of the product does not include money that you have to pay to make it (i.e. retirement contributions, job banks, etc.) the money is still coming from somewhere!

All of these supposedly educated people on this forum should understand that. Apparently they do not.

Job Banks may have been a good idea at some time in the past but I do not see Toyota, Nissan, Honda, Volkswagon, Mercedes, etc. having these issues. They are able to idle the plant for a week or two and that seems to stanch the flow of blood for them.

Oh and by the way, wasn't it Marsden who said that Auto manufacturing shouldn't be going on in a 1st world country?

Who's John Galt.

Yet again, you evade simple questions with fabrications and hand waving. Why, again, are your political heroes embracing extreme socialism?

When you and your cohort can come up with something more relevant and coherent than "the moon is made of green cheese" then perhaps you'll merit more robust replies. So far, it ain't happening. Would you like to join TNT in denying the existence of the New Deal and countless public work programs during the Great Depression? I haven't seen you confirm or deny that yet.

McBear, to his credit I suppose, has far more patience than I have with the utter stupidity you two keep retailing in this forum.

"... supposedly educated" is right. They have no idea what is really going on!

First of all my political heroes are dead and have been for over 200 years.

Second of all I am agreeing with you that the current politicians are running headlong into socialism.

But let us try to keep this on point instead of you trying to bring it off on some tangent.

I was pointing out how McBear is wrong about the wage comparison. I supplied sources and stats and you have the usual poo to throw.

Like the stats and studies I referenced. Yeah that is green cheese kind of stuff.

The "usual poo"? Um, if you had a shred of honor or integrity you'd have retracted the accusation you made, and maybe even have apologized for it. But I don't need an apology; you need honor and integrity.

Meanwhile, saying "A Dartmouth study found that outsourcers actually create jobs in America" does NOT constitute a source OR a stat. This is so basic, yet it needs to be explained to you over and over.

Here is what an actual source, with actual stats, looks like:
